Activities and Facilities at Hanati Chalets

Whether you choose to relax by the swimming pool, enjoy a game of volleyball, pool or table tennis or take a 4×4 guided drive along the Pienaars River – we have a range of available activities to suit everyone.

Dinokeng Reserve Wildlife

  • The Self Drive Route in the Reserve offers more than 140kms of winding tracks (most of which are suitable to sedan vehicles and comes with a detailed map indicating picnic spots and places to stop for comfort breaks). Permits to use the route can be purchased at the Tau and Ndlovu gates or at Hanati.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Driving without a valid permit is considered trespassing and may result in a fine as all properties within the reserve are privately owned. Driving on the tar road or substitute roads is permitted without a permit.

4x4 Trail

  • Self-drive in own 4x4 along the Pienaar's River
  • Presently a guided route only
  • No cost providing you are booked for 2 nights at Hanati and at least 2 vehicles for the drive.
  • Duration: Start between 09h00- 09h30 (or as arranged) until lunch time depending on various factors.
    Please enquire when booking, if the trail is accessible. It might not be passable due to weather conditions or animal activity.
